About Us

The TCM Directory is a resource center for everything related to Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Organized by categories, you can look for listings that include practitioners, forums, associations, practice building tools, acupuncture schools, herbal and acupuncture supplies and a whole lot more!

Our goal at the TCM Directory is to provide, through multiple channels, resources and support for fellow practitioners to build and develop their practices and businesses.

I am proud to announce TCM Directory's 1 year anniversary along with some MAJOR upgrades.

NEW UPGRADES!

-You do NOT need to have a website to get listed!

-Profile Page
Every member now gets their own PROFILE page to let the prospective patients/customers know more about you and your practice. YOU are in control of your profile page and can make updates at ANYTIME! (Be Proactive).

Your profile page contains many features and strategies for you to increase your business and in fact it COULD be used INSTEAD of having your own website to save you hundreds of dollars each year! Although we are big supporters of you having your own website, it is NOT necessary. If you do have a website, we link to it making it more powerful, gaining higher rankings in the search engines.

On your Profile Page:

-Blog
You get your very own blog! A blog is a way of communicating with your prospects. You can write about yourself, your practice, health conditions that you treat, your style of treatment, your herbal approach, something interesting about acupuncture or WHATEVER you want and WHENEVER you want! It is a great marketing tool and it provides fresh material to give a reason for your prospect to keep coming back!

-RSS Feeds for your Blogs
Maybe your blog is very interesting to read. Your readers and prospective patients can sign up to your RSS feeds which will AUTOMATICALLY notify them when you write another blog entry. Be pro-active, keep blogging, it will grow your business and it's easier than giving public talks!

-Interactive Map
You know that late patient always happens right before your busy schedule starts! "I can't find your office" "What street do I turn on?" No more excuses! No more late patients! You now have an interactive MAP on your profile page that shows your address and directions.

-Pictures
Upload pictures of you, your office or your products! Prospective patients like to see who their practitioner is and what kind of office they are going to. It removes some of the fears, and the chance of them contacting you just got higher!

-Video
Videos are becoming more and more of an effective marketing tool and TCM Directory just made it easier for you. You can now upload your videos to really broadcast your business to your target audience that visits the TCM Directory everyday.

-Testimonials
People look for testimonials before choosing a practitioner or a business. There is a section on your profile page where you can type in or paste the testimonials that you may have. Be pro-active, put it on and show everyone why they should come to you!

We get testimonials too! Here are some from practitioners:
"I get more traffic from you than any other directory"
"Your site helped my site rank higher in the search engines"

Here are some from our visitors/prospective patients:
"You have the most beautiful Chinese medicine website on the web"
"WOW! Your website looks AMAZING"
These prospects will refer right back here for all their family and friends!

And from business to business:
"It's easy to navigate and FUN to explore all the valuable information"
This means they will keep coming back and will find and connect with your business!

-Coupons
Nothing brings in a new patient/customer faster than a discount. You have an option of providing a coupon or discount voucher whenever you please. Special introductory discount, holiday special, or new product special can be many reasons to use this feature.

-Contact form
You will have your own contact form so prospects can contact you directly off your profile page. You do not have to display your email and risk getting spammed.

-Free Newsletters
The TCM Directory offers several FREE newsletters to the community.
1. Free Acupuncture Newsletter
This newsletter goes out to prospective patients and informs them of the benefits of acupuncture and Chinese medicine through articles and case studies. We then refer them to you from our "find an acupuncturist" page. This newsletter is geared for the prospective patient and not necessarily the professional.

2. Acupuncture Jobs Alert Newsletter FREE
This newsletter covers many acupuncture job offerings throughout the USA. When new acupuncture jobs become available we send out this newsletter for you to review the job possibilities.

3. Acupuncture Practice Building Newsletter FREE
Occasionally we send out a newsletter covering tips and strategies to help build your practice. This will sometimes include experts in the field offering their experience and advice.

Currently, the TCM Directory gets hundreds of thousands of page views per month and is planning on passing a MILLION in the near future, so be pro-active and get listed on a place that WANTS to help your business grow! It will be your BEST business & marketing dollar you can spend this year!

I know, you're probably thinking to get listed and to have all these great features on a place that also has traffic must be hundreds of dollars a year. Well, I am trying really hard to keep it at a great price for you! The price for all this starts at ONLY $74 per year!

Who Is Behind The TCM Directory?

Elie Goldschmidt, L.Ac., M.T.O.M founded the TCM Directory to help benefit the acupuncture and Chinese medicine community.

Elie graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (San Diego) in 1997 and went on to get his acupuncture license. He then became certified in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) as a Diplomate. After gaining experience as a practitioner, Elie went to Hangzhou, China to further his knowledge by working directly with Chinese doctors in hospital settings. "One of the most important things I learned in China was how well they integrated Chinese medicine with Western medicine with total respect for each field."

Over the past 10 years Elie has worked in medical settings with doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists and other health care providers integrating these medical systems to help benefit his patients.
